At GP Canines all are training methods used are geared towards each individual dogs. Every dog we work will receive a reward based-balanced training approach. Utilizing positive reinforcement. However, for some dogs that present with reactivity and aggression, positive reinforcement alone may not be enough to correct certain behaviours. In these cases tools and corrections may be necessary to best help your dog.

At GP Canines, we utilizes a variety of training gear and tools. Our training methods and tools will vary for each dog. For some it may be a martingale collar, for others it may be a harness. There is no cookie cutter method when it comes to training your dog, what works for one may not work for another. All tools and methods used are on a case by case basis. The most common tools we use are: Slip leads, flat collars, martingale collars, prong collars, muzzles, clickers and harnesses.

At GP Canines we do our absolute best to help every dog that enters our programs and improvements will be seen.
However, we cannot offer an absolute guarantee as some dogs behaviours are caused by genetics, personality and temperament. Your dogs success will rely on the owner/handler’s consistency and following through with the training advice provided to you by GP Canines outside of your scheduled sessions. Failure to do so may cause unsatisfactory results.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment and need to reschedule, We require a minimum of 24 hours notice before your scheduled session. Please note that if you provide less than 24 hours notice - your session will be considered as missed/no show. Exceptions to this policy may apply in extreme circumstances and will be left to the discretion of GP Canines
